With experience as a teacher, clinician, and researcher, Amy Meltzer knows learning takes many shapes and forms. Her own educational journey began as an International Baccalaureate student in Miami-Dade County Public Schools. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Miami before pursuing a Master of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Florida. She taught undergraduate coursework in the School of Education and Human Development at the University of Miami, and she regularly collaborates with K-12 teachers, paraprofessionals, occupational therapists, and behavior analysts in the area.

Amy has worked directly with students for over 10 years to support their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Her training emphasized early intervention and auditory-verbal therapy techniques with a diversity of pediatric clients. She applies evidence-based practices in the evaluation and therapeutic treatment of children with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, hearing loss, and rare genetic conditions. Her services provide families with clarity, direction, and tangible results.

For older students, Amy uniquely offers academic support services tailored to individual needs. She uses multimodal strategies to teach study skills and delivers a pragmatic approach to academic advising. She helps students refine their skills with planning, writing, revising, and analyzing, taking their academic achievement to the next level. ​

Amy is nationally certified with a Certificate of Clinical Competence by the American Speech-Hearing Association and licensed by the State of Florida Department of Health Board of Speech-Language Pathology. She is an approved Step Up provider for FES-UA.​​​
